In July 2019, I decided to start a practice of sharing a quote about gratitude every Friday. I was looking for a way to connect on social media, share a little good, and remind myself to live in a way that puts appreciation top of my mind. And I found that I really enjoyed discovering #FridayThankful quotes every week that inspired me and I wanted to share.
When I started the HR Content Academy, I wanted to share inspirational writing quotes with my HRCA community that would resonate with our writing goals. So I collected inspirational quotes by famous authors that inspired me, made me laugh, or made me think.
One of the many reasons people love motivational quotes so much is they can spur new ideas. A quote can be nothing more than a fantastic idea, stated in a memorable way. And since ideas breed ideas, quotes are a great mechanism to get our creative juices flowing.
“Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.” – Yehuda Berg
We put quotes and mantras on posters, clothing, social media and even tatto them on ourselves. Motivational quotes can act as a coach, create inspiration, offer support and help you find hope.
I hope you enjoy this collection of inspirational quotes by famous authors. Let me know which quotes resonate with you the most. Or, better yet, add your favorite “writing-related” quote in the comments below!
